SMB STARTUPS

Fractional operations

I hold operations, technology and demand as one lane, part-time, with staff behind me. Not advice about your operation. The operation.

I read your real data rather than your reporting, find where money and time leak out, then build the thing that stops it.

  • Part of one engagement, not a separate vendor
  • Staff behind it, so throughput is not capped by my calendar
  • From $12,000 a month, or a fixed-scope build
  • Most engagements start with a diagnostic

What is actually included

Read the real data first

Your systems, your numbers and how your team actually works, rather than how the documentation says they work. On anything live my default is read-only until you say otherwise.

One system, not five

Most businesses this size are running four tools and a spreadsheet somebody built in 2019. The first build is usually whichever one removes the most manual work, because that is the one your team will adopt.

Numbers that update themselves

Margin by line, cost per order, where time goes. Live, without anyone touching a spreadsheet, and reconciled against the books rather than against a dashboard.

A written handover as I go

Plain language, so you can walk your own team through what changed without me in the room. I write it during the work rather than at the end.

What it looked like last time

At the vault I'm COO of, leasing, billing, production and shipping ran across four systems and a lot of paper. It's now one platform the team logs into, and cost is tracked per order against the metal price locked on the day it sold, not today's price. That last detail is the difference between knowing your margin and estimating it.

Figures, references and case detail are available under NDA. Nothing on this site carries a client's numbers.

Start with a diagnostic.

Two to four weeks, fixed price, scope agreed in writing. You get the plan and one working thing.

I take limited engagements.
